We have kicked off the second quarter of our English Outreach program! This quarter, we added three new preschool-aged students, bringing us to about 35 children across five different classes.
We currently have an intern serving as our native English teacher, a Japanese helper who leads the Bible time, and, starting this quarter, a high school-aged missionary child from our church who is apprenticing with us. This past week, we also had another intern come to observe and learn about our program, as she has been tasked with helping develop an English program at another church plant.
There are fewer and fewer churches offering English programs, so this has been a wonderful opportunity for us to help train and equip others who desire to use English as a particular outreach. We are also so blessed to see how God is using English through our church to plant seeds in the hearts of many children in our community and to build relationships with families while providing a valuable service to them.
Please pray for the seeds we continue to plant, that we would love and serve our community well, and for stamina and teaching wisdom for our teachers. Please also pray that each time we teach the Bible, the lessons would take root in the hearts of the children and that God would use His Word to draw them to Himself.
